About Dr. Ryder
Dr. Marilou Ryder is a Professor in the Doctoral Program for Organizational Leadership at Brandman University, part of the Chapman University System.
Named “Top Ten Business Professional Women of the Year” for her involvement in local community affairs Marilou was also awarded California School Administrator of the Year and the Johns Hopkins Leadership Award.
An accomplished presenter, Dr. Ryder speaks extensively throughout California and the United States delivering lively and engaging presentations on Career Planning, Executive Presence, Creativity, Women in Leadership and Women and Aging.
Dr. Ryder's services include large and small group professional presentations and engagement workshops to assist professionals in the job search and develop executive presence in the workplace. She also delivers a highly informative, humorous and engaging workshop on Women in Leadership.
As the first women superintendent for Central Unified School District, CA breaking through the glass ceiling and overcoming the Glass Elevator was an exciting adventure. Dr. Ryder would be happy to serve as a keynote Speaker on this topic for your group or organization.
... I am often reminded how challenging it is for female leaders to gain access to the top roles in education; in California 80% of all teachers are female and only 18-26% of the 1007 superintendents statewide are female. Contact me for presentation details.

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES-AN IPHONE ESSAY IN MINDFULNESS
Austin Kleon (2016), author of Steal Like an Artist urges people who want to be more creative and innovative to leave home. He states "Your brain gets too comfortable in your everyday surroundings. Step away from the computer!" Please take a moment to view my personal Iphoto journey called Walk a Mile in My Shoes. Photos were taken from all the beautiful, interesting and "You can't make that up" stuff left and embedded onto sidewalks in California.
