BUILDING YOUR PROFESSIONAL BRAND

What does your digital footprint look like?  Have you taken the time to Google yourself? If you’re like most people, you probably have joined some social networking sites, posted photos or sent messages online, perhaps with little thought of where it would they end up.  However, if you are in the process of applying for a job, your digital footprint becomes more important than you may think.   Perhaps you’ve spent hours on your resume and have created an amazing LinkedIn profile or professional website.  You continue to apply for jobs but realize you are not getting job interviews.  It’s possible employers are looking at your online footprint and something is not working for them....

FIRST STEPS: WHO ARE YOU?
One of the first steps to take when developing your brand is to spend time reflecting upon who you are.  What are your core values and what do you stand for? Sounds simple doesn’t it?  Think of 3-4 words that describe who you are.  Are you trustworthy?
